Meth Lab Cleanup
Meth lab cleanup is for property believed to have been used to manufacture methamphetamine or a similar drug. Cooking chemicals and residue can remain on surfaces, in ventilation, and in septic systems. This is different from a few items of drug paraphernalia. State rules decide who may do the work and who may say a property is cleared.
Why a professional company
Former lab chemicals can harm occupants long after the cook is gone. The right sequence is usually assessment, removal, and — where the state requires it — clearance by a listed inspector. We do not certify labs and do not employ inspectors.
What partner companies typically do
A partner that offers this work follows the rules of the state where the property sits. It may coordinate with a required inspector. It sets its own price and invoices the customer. If a partner is not qualified for that state, it should decline.
What to do right now
- Stay out of the structure if officials have told you to.
- Do not turn on HVAC to 'air it out' until someone qualified has advised you.
- Do not remove equipment that still needs to stay in place.
- Tell the partner which state the property is in.
State rules apply. For example, Indiana requires a state-listed Qualified Inspector to certify drug-lab cleanup.
Some property insurance policies may cover part of biohazard cleanup; many don't, and coverage depends on your policy. Check with your insurer. Insurance and self-pay jobs are accepted. Top Clean Bio is not an insurer, adjuster, or public adjuster and does not handle or negotiate claims.
