Jail Cell Cleanup
Jail and holding-cell cleanup is a referral for facilities that want an outside company for blood, biological fluids, or similar contamination in a cell. The facility controls access, security, and timing. We do not staff jails and do not direct corrections officers. We introduce the facility to an independent partner that lists this work.
Why a professional company
Professional cleanup is recommended because blood and other body fluids can carry pathogens. OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030, governs workers who handle blood on the job. That standard applies to the employer's workers. It is one reason this work belongs with a company that trains its own people, not with family members using household products.
What partner companies typically do
The partner follows the facility's security rules, cleans the cell it is allowed to enter, and invoices the agency or its contractor directly. Response time depends on that company and on facility access. We do not guarantee a time.
What to do right now
- Keep the cell out of use if your procedure says to.
- Do not ask untrained staff to wipe blood if a partner is being requested.
- Have a facility contact ready who can approve entry.
- Use the request form and mark your relationship to the property.
Some property insurance policies may cover part of biohazard cleanup; many don't, and coverage depends on your policy. Check with your insurer. Insurance and self-pay jobs are accepted. Top Clean Bio is not an insurer, adjuster, or public adjuster and does not handle or negotiate claims.
